TARGET SPECIES: Horses, cattle, dogs and cats.

IINDICATIONS: SIt is recommended in horses, cattle, dogs, cats in the treatment of the following diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to the action of the active substance:
Horses:
The treatment of respiratory diseases caused by Streptococcus equisi.
Cattle:
The treatment of respiratory diseases, bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp., necrotic pododermitis, necrotic veal laryngitis caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum.
Dogs, cats:
The treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract diseases (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, pneumonia, bronchitis), gastrointestinal tract diseases (bacterial enteritis, bacterial enteritis associated with coccidiosis in dogs), urogenital diseases (cystitis, nephritis, metritis, pyometritis caused by streptococci, staphylococci, Salmonella spp.), the treatment of soft tissue conditions, abscesses, conditions of the skin and anal glands.

COMPOSITION:
1 ml of product contains:
Active substance:
Sulfadimethoxine.…………………………………………….400 mg
Excipients:
Benzyl alcohol.…………………………………………………. 10 mg
 

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer to animals with serious yeanlingney or liver problems or dyscrasia.
Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Rarely, there may be gastrointestinal disorders, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, exanthema, occasional abdominal discomfort, in which case administration of the medication should be stopped immediately. If you notice any serious reactions or other effects not listed in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
The product ought to be administered intravenously (slowly) or subcutaneously depending on the body weight, and the optimum individual dose for each animal can be established according to the following plan:
Cattle, horses:
- Initial dose: 1.1 ml of ENTEROXIN 40%/8 kg bw (55 mg of active substance/kg bw on the first day).
- Maintenance dose: 0.55 ml of product/8 kg bw (27.5 mg of active substance/kg bw/day) every 24 hours, for 3-5 days, depending on the clinical response.
The treatment ought to be continued for at least two days after the disappearance of the symptoms.
The treatment initiated with ENTEROXIN 40% solution for injection can be continued with ENTEROXIN 5% oral suspension.
If the animals do not show any improvement in their health, consult the veterinarian for the reassessment of the diagnosis.
Dogs and cats:
- Initial dose: 1.1 ml of ENTEROXIN 40%/8 kg bw (55 mg of active substance/kg bw on the first day).
- Maintenance dose: 0.55 ml of ENTEROXIN 40%/8 kg bw (27.5 mg of active substance/kg bw/day) every 24 hours, for 3-5 days, depending on the clinical response.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION:
During treatment, an appropriate fluid intake shall be ensured to avoid dehydration. In order to ensure proper dosage, the body weight of the animals should be calculated as accurately as possible to avoid product under-dosing.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat and offal: cattle – 7 days.
Milk: 60 hours.
Use in horses whose meat is intended for human consumption is not allowed.

 

STORAGE:
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Store at temperatures lower than 25°C.
Keep away from sunlight.
Keep away from frost.
The solution for injection can crystallize in the cold, but, by storing it at room temperature for a few days or by heating in a water bath, the crystals re-dissolve.
Do not use after the expiration date stated on the bottle.
Shelf life after first opening the primary packaging: 28 days.
